24/7 Support and guidance when needed

Full Insurance is designed to give you confidence on the road. The key is simple: drive responsibly, avoid excluded situations, and report serious incidents properly so we can protect you and handle everything the right way.

What Full Insurance (SCDW) Covers

Our Full Insurance gives strong protection for the most important parts of your rental, provided the incident is handled correctly and none of the exclusions apply.

Included Protection

  • Major body damage: dents, bumpers, panels, and accident-related exterior damage.
  • Theft and vandalism: covered when the incident is reported properly and all required steps are followed.
  • Windscreen and glass: chips or cracks are covered when reported correctly.
  • Tire damage: covered under the conditions explained below.
  • Underbody damage: covered when it is not caused by off-road use, negligence, or misuse.

How to Stay Protected

  • Covered cases come with €0 excess for the customer.
  • Report major damage immediately so the case can be handled properly.
  • Take clear photos or videos of the damage, number plates, and surrounding area.
  • Do not arrange repairs or agreements before contacting us.
  • Avoid excluded situations such as off-road driving, intoxication, misuse, or travel to North Cyprus.
Good to know: Small cosmetic wear from normal use is usually not a problem. What matters most is proper reporting when the damage is serious or when a formal incident has taken place.
What Full Insurance (SCDW) Does Not Cover

Full Insurance gives strong protection, but some situations are excluded. If one of the cases below applies, the driver may be fully responsible for the damage or loss.

Main Exclusions

  • Off-road driving: any damage caused while driving off-road or on unsuitable roads.
  • Alcohol: any incident that happens while the driver is intoxicated.
  • Drugs or narcotics: any incident under the influence of illegal or impairing substances.
  • North Cyprus: incidents, loss, or damage while the vehicle is in North Cyprus.

Other Excluded Situations

  • Traffic violations causing an accident: such as running a red light, dangerous driving, or reckless behavior.
  • Interior misuse: cigarette burns, unnecessary interior damage, or avoidable abuse.
  • Negligence or misuse: irresponsible or improper use of the vehicle.
  • Failure to report major damage: unreported serious incidents may lead to extra charges or full liability.

Legal note: For the full legal wording and complete rental rules, please see our Terms & Conditions.

Damage Reporting — Keep It Simple

Small cosmetic marks can happen during normal use and are usually not a problem. Bigger damage should always be reported so we can protect you and handle the case correctly.

  • Minor scratch or tiny cosmetic mark: usually no report is needed and there is normally no charge.
  • Major damage: dents, broken parts, deep impact marks, or heavy scratches must always be reported.
  • Theft, vandalism, or glass damage: always report these cases immediately.
  • Major damage reported correctly: covered under SCDW, with only the €29 processing fee for the formal case handling.
  • Major damage not reported: may lead to additional charges depending on the circumstances.
Damage Examples — Minor vs Major

Here are two simple examples that help explain the difference between normal wear and reportable damage.

Minor scratch on car rental – typically normal wear
Minor scratch: small cosmetic marks are usually considered normal wear. In most cases, no report is needed and there is no charge.
Major damage on car rental – report required for insurance handling
Major damage: damage like this should be reported immediately. If it is not reported, the driver may become fully responsible.
Damage Processing Fee

This fee only applies when a major damage case is formally opened and handled as an incident or claim. It does not apply to small cosmetic marks.

€29
Damage Processing Fee: charged only for processed major damage incidents that are officially handled under the insurance process.
What to Do If an Accident Happens

If you are involved in an accident, stay calm and follow these steps so we can support you quickly and correctly.

  • Stop the vehicle safely and switch on the hazard lights.
  • If anyone is injured, call the emergency services immediately.
  • Contact BlueRent Cyprus right away and follow our instructions.
  • Take clear photos or videos of the damage, number plates, road position, and surrounding area.
  • Do not arrange repairs, payments, or agreements before speaking with us.
Flat Tire / Tire Damage

If you get a flat tire, the spare tire is for temporary use only, so you can safely reach our main office. From there, we will arrange a tire replacement or a vehicle swap if needed.

What You Should Do

  • If it is safe: fit the spare tire and drive to our main office.
  • If you cannot safely fit the spare: contact us and we will guide you and arrange assistance.
  • Normal incident with no customer responsibility: roadside assistance is free of charge.
  • Customer responsibility: in cases of misuse, off-road driving, or negligence, service fees may apply.

Roadside Assistance Fees (Only When Applicable)

  • Paphos: €30
  • Limassol: €50
  • Larnaca: €80
  • Troodos: €80
  • Ayia Napa: €90
  • Nicosia: €90

Important: This is a roadside assistance fee, not a tire damage fee. It applies only if you cannot change the tire yourself and need us to come to your location.
